Early Life/Family Life:
Miyamoto spent a lot of his early life exploring and adventuring through the forests and mountains around his hometown of Sonebe, Japan. He is currently married with two children.

Biography:
Shigeru Miyamoto is one of the most influential developers on star characters of Nintendo such as Donkey Kong and Mario. Since, then, he has been dubbed the “Father of Modern Video Games,” and has made his mark on other popular franchises as well.

Career Outline:
After leaving school, Miyamoto got in contact with a family friend. He was told to develop toy ideas first, then returned to find a job at Nintendo waiting for him. He then developed Donkey Kong with the help of Gunpei Yokoi, and it was a surprising hit in both Japan and in the US. Since then, he has developed many of Nintendo’s famous games, such as Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, Pikmin, Metroid Prime, and many more.

His influential development on Nintendo’s games has both set a style for Nintendo and helped Nintendo become one of the leading companies in today’s gaming industry.

He constantly looks for inspiration from both his childhood and his personal life for ideas.

Personality:
Miyamoto seems to be a very easy-going, perhaps silly man who enjoys spending time with his family and playing the guitar and banjo. He does not really enjoy playing video games in his spare time.
